چکیده
Four dimensional N = 1 theories are engineered by compactifying six dimensional (2, 0) theory on a Riemann surface with regular punctures. A generalized Hitchin’s equation involving two Higgs fields is proposed as the BPS equation for N = 1 compactification. The puncture is interpreted as the singular boundary condition of this equation, and regular puncture is shown to be labeled by a nilpotent commuting pair. In this paper, we focus on a subset of regular puncture which is described by rotating branes representing N = 2 puncture. As an application, we show that Seiberg duality of SU(N) SQCD with Nf = 2N and certain superpotential term is realized as different degeneration limits of the same punctured Riemann surface, and find four more dual theories.

Non-Perturbative Dynamics Of Four-Dimensional Supersymmetric Field Theories
An introduction to the construction and interpretation of supersymmetric low energy effective actions in four space-time dimensions is given. These effective actions are used to extract exact strong-coupling information about N = 4 and N = 2 supersymmetric gauge theories. The M-theory 5-brane construction which derives the effective action of certain N = 2 theories is described.

We study discrete fluxes in four dimensional SU (N) gauge theories with a mass gap by using brane compactifications which give N = 1 or N = 0 supersymmetry. We show that when such theories are compactified further on a torus, the t'Hooft magnetic flux m is related to the NS two-form modulus B by B = 2π m N. These values of B label degenerate brane vacua, giving a simple demonstration of magneti...
متن کاملSpherically Symmetric Solutions in a New Braneworld Massive Gravity Theory
In this paper, a combination of the braneworld scenario and covariant de Rham-Gabadadze-Tolley (dRGT) massive Gravity theory is proposed. In this setup, the five-dimensional bulk graviton is considered to be massive. The five dimensional nonlinear ghost-free massive gravity theory affects the 3-brane dynamics and the gravitational potential on the brane. Following the solutions with spherical s...

We find new solutions to 11-dimensional supergravity describing M5-branes wrapped on holomorphic 2-cycles embedded in C. These solutions preserve N = 1 supersymmetry in four dimensions. They are dual to N = 1 gauge theories in four dimensions by Maldacena’s duality. متن کاملChern–Simons Hadronic Bag from Quenched Large-N QCD
SU(N) reduced, quenched, gauge theories have been shown to be related to string theories. We extend this result and show how a 4-dimensional, reduced, quenched, Yang–Mills theory, supplemented by the topological term, can be related through the Wigner–Weyl–Moyal correspondence to an open 3-brane model. The boundary of the 3-brane is described by a Chern–Simons 2-brane. We identify the bulk of t...
